Here in Allied Gardens more and more customers are opting to have trenchless sewer pipe lining repair done for their property. There is a lot of clay pipe in the ground and it is failing at an alarming rate. Most of the clay pipe inspected in Allied Gardens has roots in the lines and most lines are cracked. This customer who called, has been putting off repair due to the extent of having to excavate the property and to reinstall more pipe. The customer had been having his pipes cleared every 6 - 8 months for a couple of years now, and it seems the problem has only gotten worse. The technician upon hearing this agreed to go out and run a sewer video camera down the clay pipe lines to see what the problem is and why it seems to be getting worse. The technicians guess was that the pipe itself, having been cleaned and cleared so much over a period of time that it was actually damaging the clay pipes.

Low and behold, after the tech ran his camera’s he was able to see extensive cracking in the sewer pipeline, and there was a tremendous amount of roots and actually he discovered a root ball about 23 feet out from the house, that seemed to be the main culprit for the backups. With a root ball of this size the water has no place to go, other than to drain very slowly, and if you are using the toilet a lot then the sewer pipe will backup into the home, which was the case with this customer. Post inspection, the length of the sewer pipe was approx 85 feet so it was pretty decent size repair. To have to dig it all up and replace it would be too costly and luckily for the customer this repair would be a lot less than $10,000. This was actually great news for the customer as he anticipated a $25,000 cost to excavate, replace and repair. So with that said, the customer set up a time to have his sewer line repair using the trenchless sewer repair method.

The Allied Garden’s customer was happy to have us out and the day the repair was made he actually had one of his neighbors over to watch the repair take place. After it was all said and done, the entire repair was completed in less than one day’s time and by the end of the day the customer was able to use his facilities. This was a huge surprise because he thought the repair would of taken at least 2 - 3 days. Saving the customers time and money is what TSR Trenchless is all about.
